Palace Bridge placed across the Neva river near the Winter Palace and Dvortsovaya Square. It connects the Admiralteiskii area of the city with Vasilievsky Island. During summer months (May - November), the central section composed of two wings, traditionally opens during the night to allow shipping traffic to pass.
DetailsPalace Bridge is 250 meters long, 27.7 meters wide. It was built between 1912 and 1916 by engineer A. I. Pshenitskii. In "White Nights" season it becomes the main sight of the city for tourists and citizens.
